Showrss not updating
n=1000 I don't want to make my application dependent on Google Reader. RSS/Atom feeds does not allow for historic information to be retrieved. It is up to the publisher of the feed to provide it if they want such as in the blogger or wordpress examples you gave above. This generally would apply to episodes that follow a story line such as an audio book. However, if your show is based out of a different country or have an audience based in a different language, update this field to the two letter code for that language.
This field should include your name, the name of the company producing the podcast, or other appropriate name of the author of the show.
How do I get the items in a feed, and not just the most recent ones?
The only solution I could find was using the "unofficial" Google Reader API, which would be something like start-index=1&max-results=1000", and on Word Press I can do "? Is there any general way to fetch an RSS feed so that it gives me everything, and not just the most recent items?
This is essentially your elevator pitch that will give potential subscribers an idea of what to expect for your show. This information is used by i Tunes themselves if they find the need to contact you.
They also use this information to determine who is authorized to request changes when contacted.
i Tunes will pull incorrectly labeled shows from their store.
